Quite possibly the most beautiful beach and bay I saw in all of Hawaii. However, I would not recommend this place for snorkeling. It is kind of crowded, but mainly, the visibility was real bad. I couldnt see more than maybe 4 feet in front of me. For snorkeling, head to the North Shore. With that said though, you can get closer to the fish here than you can in other places, close enough to touch them. over 5 years agoUntitled by pengwinmy first & true love took me to honolulu/waikiki, hawaii for my 21st birthday and it was the best birthday gift ever ever! my most favorite places we visited there was hanauma bay…we went for water sports one of our days there and it was most memeoriable memories…the bay was simply beautiful and breath taking, i WILLNEVER forget it! my favorite water activity was water jetskiing in the bay, it was just the greatest beyond words…a little ferry boat took us to our destination our in the bay, a little floating dock in the middle of the bay where some 10 jet skis were parked along it…we crossed over from the ferry to the dock, where they assigned us a jet ski and gave us a crash course on how to drive on…with that we were on our way and took turns steering the jet ski :) it was just amazing! afterwards, the same ferry took us back to land where we waited in an ice cream shop/boba shop (and had a boba drink :9) for our shuttle to take us back to our hotel…the scenic drive was beautiful, with my love by my side as i snuggled close to him in the van, to stare out the window with at the beautiful vegitation <3 it’s my goal to return to this place again, and hopefully with my same love over 5 years agoUntitled by bailey1230I was amazed how many fishes you could see just floating on top of the water with a snorkel. The colors were endless. As you walk down the steep walkway you get a breathtaking view of the entire beach and mountain side. It is easy to see that it used to be a volcanoe. Have since been back multiple times. over 6 years agoSee all 21 entries |
