Worth visiting!

I lived in Hawaii for about 4-5 Years. I was stationed there when I was in the Marines and went back to live there for another year after I had left. It was a lot of fun but I started to get a bad case of island fever and had to leave.

Worth visiting!

During my 30 years living in Alaska, when the winters would get too dark and too long, it was such a repreve to fly to Beautiful Hawaii.

We visited mostly in Honolulu and usually stayed at the Hale Koa Hotel, which is a Military R&R Hotel. One of the most beautiful Hotels on the beach.

The weather is so perfect here, even when it is raining. The flowers have a sweeter smell than anywhere else. The pineaple and papayas taste devine.

We love the luau’s, beaches, ocean, shows, and touristy things.
Absolutely love it here.

Worth visiting!

....one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Our hotel was in O’ahu, so we only visited Waikiki during the day and I really enjoyed myself. There was a lot of construction going on, but other than that there were live bands, good eats and plenty of shopping.

Not worth it!

Unless your scouting babes, this beach is extremely over crowded ALL the time. They do play movies on the beach every once and a while..which is kinda cool…maybe. There are far better beaches with far less people in my opinion.

As a hawaiian I can certainly atteast to this traditional saying. Even though i was only born in honolulu and lived there briefly, i am being pulled back…in fact i chose to teach their without even visiting ‘my’ old school simply because i want to go ‘home.’ So, this time next year i can give an even better explanation of the beach.

Last time I was in Hawai’i, I made it to Waikiki two different nights and had a blast. It’s a completely different part of Hawai’i’s culture—nightlife! Walking from bar to bar isn’t much different from being in Chicago or New York, but you have the ocean right across the street—and you can even go swimming after a great night out! Lots of fun.
