All in all, a nice place to live. by wackfone

I’ve called Vista home since 1997. The climate is temperate, the downtown is revitalized and somewhat yuppified, yet the outskirts remain pleasantly horsey. Apartments are getting scarce. As a parent of a teen, I can attest that the high schools are extremely crowded. Voters passed a school construction bond a few years ago but property values have risen so fast that the funds are now inadequate. (We could never buy a home here now, as the median price is around $500K.) The Spanish-speaking demographic is very well represented here with many businesses to serve it. The County maintains a busy courthouse and jail here, and there are lots of law offices and bail bonds businesses. There is also a lovely restored adobe from the mid 1800’s that is open to the public. Many nice park facilities including a summer water park. Clean, quiet but small-ish library. Vista really does offer something for everyone, if you can afford to live here (snark).

Growing little horse town by cococali

this town has all the great things a larger city has to offer but still has a small town feel through out most of it. You can visit cultural events, theater, movies, waterpark, wonderful parks, hundreds of restaurants and coffee shops. Many outlying areas are still used to breed and raise horses while many other areas are used for agriculture. Def a place to visit because there is something to do for EVERYONE! :)

Beautiful Vista, CA by Sophie

I have been living in Vista CA for 12 years. Vista is located in North San Diego County of CA. I have lived in North San Diego County of CA most of my life. Vista is located about a 20 minute drive from the beach. The weather is mild year round. The summers are warm but rarely get past 90 degrees. There is a water park here that is open in the summer, several shopping malls that are a short driving distance away.

The word “Vista” mean view. There are some parts of Vista that have a view of the Pacific Ocean. When I take a walk, I can see this view. Parts of Vista feel like the country, yet we are very close to the convienences of the city.

Vista is a great place to both visit and to live.
