My kids loved this place. The wild Kate show. So much fudge to buy, any variety you can think of. All thos horse dran carragies and the best dam turkey sandwich was from a little side place on the main street!

The first time I went to this place

I drove cross country from California to Georgia and I used AAA’s Triptik it’s a guide with directions custom made to order. You tell them all the places you want to go and they will map it out and give you tips and pointers in a booklet.

Tombstone was really interesting, The original theater is still standing. You can look up at the ceiling and see the bullet holes….

A review of this place: Love This Place!

Being a sucker for the tourist trap and lover of history, Tombstone, AZ has it all. I have been to Tombstone at lest five times and I never get tired of it. I’ll be back again soon!

This Weekend

We went here this weekend. Got there Saturday evening and left Sunday around lunch time. We just wanted to get away. This was the first time Sean was there and we did not get to see a gun fight at the O.K. Coral. Oh well. It was just far to late and we didn’t want to wait that long.

We took Hannalee when she was 1.5 yrs old, 5 yrs ago.

We just walked around the shops today, nothing much. Henry had us get dressed up into one of the western photos and did that. It was interesting. We bought 2 photos.

There are no takeout or fastfood places in Tombstone. It’s not allowed. We got pulled over as we went down a street we were not supposed to.

Henry drove on the way there, which there was a lot of traffic leaving the Phoenix area. It took about 3.5 hrs. I got to spend a good part of it on wireless broadband. But the suspension of the Explorer was not smooth and made me a bit motion sick.

I drove on the way back and it took 2.5 hrs and not a whole lot of traffic. Henry and the kids napped while I listened to my iAudio.

We only ate out once while we were here…dinner the night we arrived. It wasn’t too bad. Food was healthy and delicious. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, which wasn’t too bad for the price. It was a 2-room suite. The disappointment was there was no door in between as I was very in the mood and wanted alone time with Henry.

It was a nice little getaway all in all before my last week at work.
