Gulfport

My grandparents own about 11 properties down in Gulfport so I get to see it often. before Katrina it was a popping little place and I would say it was Worth Visiting then. But now, a year afterwards it’s not built back much. If you’re going for the beach I think it would be better to aim a little closer to Florida. The shores in gulfport are still quite dirty. And when the tide goes out and comes back it brings in more debris.

I traveled here on my ‘06 Spring Break to help repair a woman’s house. Beautiful place, beautiful people.

This was in 1996. The OSU band was on the way back from the Gator Bowl, and we needed to stop, party, and sleep. I don’t remember the hotel, but we got to go see some sites.

Alternative Spring Break 2006—rebuilding, reliving.

we visited the gulf this past summer and stayed in gulfport on the strip. one of the best vacations i’ve had was spent on the strip at the days in (purple and green) hotel. is it still there? does anyone know?
