Castelo De Vide

It’s easy to get here by bus from Portalegre and it’s quite feasible to walk along a ridge to Marvão, which can be seen in the distance from the castle.
There are two historically interesting areas; the oldest is the Arab Quarter that inludes the castle [Free to visit!]; the other is the Jewish Quarter, where many Jews settled after they were expelled from Spain in 1492.
