Google HQ: The Googleplex

Awesome, got to go to Google Zeitgeist and see the Googleplex!! Free food everywhere, people playing volleyball, and lots of coding going on :-)

tony took dave and me and it was amazing. we ate and played in the ball pit and walked around. free naked juice too!

My fiance got a job there, so we’ll be going to Mountain View this summer! I can only assume I will be able to see it sometime then. Family (or maybe just “a guest”) gets to have lunch with their Googler twice a month, so that’s probably when I’ll go to the Googleplex itself.

it’s such a nice campus, nice and spacious, with free drinks in lobbies. people are smart and nice too! when i was sitting in the lobby waiting, i saw this cool screen with words that people search all over the world at that instant, which i like a lot. inside people decorate their workplace creatively, and you don’t see stressful people dying to leave the office – they enjoy working there so much. too bad i couldn’t make it to work there…

Dislexic Spaniards sometimes call google “el goog”—that was the joke I overheard today. I visited the Blogger team today and had a memorable lunch. And Ojan was there telling me that more people need to launch more stuff that is broken … to get it out there and learn (instead of waiting to ‘get it right’). Agreed.

I’d visit again just for the cafeteria.
