Ah Yes, the Dong painted Mary was in this museum, the controversy. And the Hip-Hop Exhibit was really cool. Good time good times

Yay, I finally got here!  — 1 year ago

Wow, it was much bigger and better than I had expected! And so cheap! And because I paid to go (only $4 for a student), just before the free time, it was completely empty, so I had the whole place to myself.

Go for the Ron Mueck exhibit before it closes! It’s really cool.

    Fantastic!  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

First, in addition to being a fine museum, it’s a spectacular, beautiful piece of monumental architecture—one of my favorite buildings in NYC. Second, the location is great, right next to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and a block from Prospect Park (not to mention right across the street from my apartment). Finally, it has one of the best outdoor fountains I’ve ever seen; we Brooklynites like to sit out there all day in the sun and enjoy it.

Star Wars Exhibit  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

This is in my neck of the woods, so I’ve been there several times. My favorite exhibit there is one they had in 2002, called Star Wars: The Magic of Myth. There were costumes, model ships, and tons of behind the scenes items and info for the original Star Wars trilogy as well as for Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
