A tip: go early
The market on Portobello Road is huge and ridiculously crowded during the summer. Go early in the morning, right after it opens, and you might actually be able to check out the market stalls.

Why I recommend this place to visitors
make sure you go when the markets are open. If not, then it’s pretty much a regular street just like the others.

A review of this place: buy the feta cheese!
A beautiful places any day of the week, but such a fun market on Saturday. There are vendors who sell greek olives and feta cheese. Buy the feta cheese! It’s amazing. Microwave some chicken, then put the chicken in a pan, pour balsamic vinegar on it, and sprinkle the feta cheese on top. Bake it in the oven at about 325 for 20 minutes. It’s amazing. The Portobello Rd. market is also a great place to buy unique gifts for friends abroad.

A review of this place
Loads and loads of cool things to check out from antiques to jewelery to produce and clothing. A bit crowded but that’s part of the experience. Only downside is getting “Portobello Road” from Bedknobs and Broomsticks stuck in my head. ;)

Why I recommend this place to visitors
After all of the Tower of London, London Eye type-visits, Portobello Road was a welcome relief from dank castles. My mom had to buy an extra rolling duffle bag to take home all the things we bought! There’s nowhere like it in the world—-it seemed magical.
