I love Palm Springs! My family has been spending Labor Day week here since long before I was born. It’s now grown to almost 50 people as we get married and have children of our own. A great place for the family during the day and the grown-up’s at night. My only tip: Don’t go anywhere during the day unless it to the pool. Actually, don’t get out of the pool unless it’s necessary:)

How this place changed my life  — 3 months ago

It is beautiful. I came here for a life changing opportunity and I now want to live here. I’ve got desert dreams on my mind. I think I can brave the triple digit weather, since I have braved the double digit negative weather of Wisconsin.

Why I want to go to this place  — 8 months ago

A friend of mine is having a destination wedding, 50s-style, at the Del Marcos Hotel next spring. I’m also looking forward to doing some geocaching while in the area.

I have been here numerous times going back to the early 90’s when my paternal grandparents vacationed there, couple of times with my mother in law to the Spa (a gambling casino), once to visit DS and his g/f at the time, and most recently, I drove through here on my motorcycle in the fall of 2007.

    Not worth it!

Unless you are a golfer or a fan of dates Palm Springs doesn’t have much to offer.

I live 100 miles away in the middle of the desert and Palm Spring is the place I go every weekend I can to shop and just wind down. Sunny, beautiful and a very relaxing atmosphere. Downtown Palm Spring is a shopper’s paradise and a fun place to walk on the streets. When in season, see the Palm Springs Follies, a show of veteran entertainers and a chorus line of beautiful women in their 70s! Sherman’s Deli is the place to go for the best pastrami sandwich outside of New York. The new statue to Sonny Bono is eye-catching (Lousy entertainer but great congressman!). Finally, the trip on The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is not to be missed. Where to stay? The Spa Casino Hotel is smack in the center of town and reasonably price for this city. The staff is very professional AND friendly and there is a natural hot spring spa on the premise.

I come here at least 2-3 times a year since it’s not too far from where I live and I LOVE it especially when I’m with friends. I think It’s a great place to Party during Spring Break and if you come during the summer, you’d have the nicest tan ever! It’s sunny and hott all year round…almost.
