Parthenon aka: Temple of Athena

The ruins and history – going back to Biblical times, is so huge it’s unfathomable to me. I’d like to see it in person and just feel myself in a place so different than what I know.

I was jetlagged, but the sun was setting and it was (and is) one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.

Impressive in photos, even more impressive in real life. Your photos will be full of scaffolding and other tourists, but they will still look amazing!

It looks stunning illuminated at night too!

Rather quiet while we were there. Great views over the city and it looks great at night all illuminated staring down on Athens.

So cool even if it is heavy under reconstruction. Truly awesome place to go to.
