Lawrence

You are liable to forget it’s Kansas.

I’ve heard that Lawerence was settled by New Englanders who moved westward. You can tell because Lawerence feels like New England. Amazing concerts, wonderful people who are all passionate about one thing: KU BASKETBALL.

lawrence is THE best small town to go visit in the midwest of the usa. its soo refreshing to find such a great city in the middle of nowhere, literally. great nightlife, great people, great music scene, great little shops, just a great vibe overall. lawrence—never change!

Being a left-winger from Los Angeles, Lawrence is a refreshing blast of progressive air in the middle of conservative Kansas. My boyfriend is from Paradise, Kansas, and his sister went to law school at KU (go Jayhawks!) and while visiting her I fell in love with Lawrence. It’s just so charming and has such a great history of maverick thinking. Everybody’s really nice too, but then again most Kansans are very nice, whether they like you or not. Shoot, we’ll probably end up there in old age, a couple of gay hippies running a llama farm or something, ha ha!

i wanted to go because my sister was living there but alas she has moved now i have no reason or motivation to go.
