A tip I have about this place
We didn’t actually have time in our schedule to visit Brattleboro itself, but I just want to say that America’s Best Inn on Putney (2 miles north of town) is totally sketchy and we paid way too much.

A tip I have about this place
Bratt is beautiful, serene and funky.
Eat at Amy’s Bakery Arts Cafe which has ever-changing art on the walls and an amazing veiw of the CT river.
39 is great too.
McNeills has the best beer I’ve ever had, but beware, it’s stronger than you’re expecting—trivial pursiut is a perfect activity while drinking.
The Latchis motel is great and supposedly haunted.
The propriter of Life’s Little Luxuries is one of the nicest people ever.
Turn It Up! has bomb deals on CD’s, stickers, tapes, records and movies.
The Common Ground has fun shows that are perfect for wandering aimelssly into.
The Vermont Country Deli is rediculously good.
The railroad tracks make for amazing pictures.
The thrift stores are un-picked over and cheap as anything.

The last time I went to this place
Every spring my mom and I spend a weekend here, and we absolutely love it! We especially love Brattleboro’s 3 fabulous bookstores. Other favorites include Amy’s Bakery Arts Cafe overlooking the Connecticut River, and The Top of the Hill Grill, a funky little barbecue joint offering cheap, delicious vittles in an indoor or outdoor setting.
