A review of this place: Beautiful Year Round
Longwood Gardens has beautiful flowers, trees, shrubs, fountains etc. They have classes if you are local on all kinds of horticulture. At Christmas the poinsettas and indoor arrangements are amazing additions to the hundreds of trees that are lit with Christmas lights.

Thumbs up!
to the brothers who made this park… I’ve been there once in the summer, in the fall and in the winter. The next time I go has to be spring!! It really is an amazing place to spend a day :)

Why I recommend this place to visitors
This is one of our national treasures. The fountains, the lights at Christmas, the resource for gardeners, the ballroom and conservatory are all superb. If you ever get the chance, make sure to see the fireworks (offered 4 times per year).
For those who live close, you really need to see it in all 4 seasons. And, make sure to see Winterthur, too, for a different DuPont take on large scale landscaping!

very beautiful
If you’re a fan of botany (flowers, palm trees, cactuses, bonsai trees), then definitely stop here. Even my boyfriend enjoyed this place. The mansion of Pierre Du Ponte also has a gorgeous sun room, and they have some pretty lights strung up around the holidays.
There’s only one downfall: overpriced, mediocre cafeteria food.
