A tip I have about this place  — 4 months ago

    Worth visiting!

If you get migraine headaches from perfume-y smells, take something before you go here. There are small shops that sell soaps and candles and they gave me a huge migraine.

If you aren’t sure if you want to spend the money to see this place, you are free to walk around the grounds without one. You must buy various package tickets to GO IN the buildings.

Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 4 months ago

    Worth visiting!

I put “worth visiting” because this place really brings you back in time while you are there. Kids seem to really enjoy it. Especially if they are old enough to be studying this in school. I wouldn’t recommend it for little kids since it involves a lot of walking.
Coming from RI, where we have a lot of Colonial architecture in the area, it’s not as impressive as it might be for someone who’s never seen anything like this, though.

Want to go back  — 8 months ago

I think I was just too young to really appreciate this place. Most of what I remember involves pain in the feet, cause I wore flip-flops that gave me awful blisters! I want to go back in the future to take it all in.

Williamsburg is a fine fine place to learn about Americas history, good weather (untill mid-late summer when its MAD hot.)

Massivly growing with all kinds of new homes etc. Williamsburg is a place thats awsome to visit, SUCKS to live in.

It’s just so fun to see the American History alive. We’re such a young country, this is one of the few places you can see American heritage.
