Asheville

I just visited Asheville w/ my family. We went to Tupelo Honey for dinner the second day. It was a big hit. We’re all vegetarians and they had a lot of vegetarian options. The dessert was amazing, too.
We went out for breakfast the next day. We were walking around, looking for a restaurant. We rounded the corner and came apon Tupelo Honey. My dad really wanted to try their breakfast, so we at there again. And yes, it was still amazing.
We were leaving that evening and we wanted to get a bite to eat before we hit the road. Again, we walked around for a while, but nothing looked very appealing. We were all pretty tired, so we decided to eat there one last time. And it was still really good.
Wow, three times in two days :)

Their shrimp and grits are to die for! Order the sweet tea, get some tupelo honey with your biscuits, and you’re set.

The first time I went to this place

I’ve only been once, and that was enough to start the obsession. We went after a night of bar hopping and dancing. We almost didn’t get it. I had giant fluffy biscuits with lots of yummy Tupelo honey, while my cohort had Eggs Benedict. I dream about those biscuits. I hope one day to return for some shrimp and grits.

Oh how I miss Asheville.

Try the grit cakes!

Delicious!!!

Also, the tomato sandwich, the pecan-crusted chicken, and I’m especially fond of their fried green tomatoes. Yum!

The last time I went to this place

I have never in my life been to such an awesome cafe! There was a long wait but they had a place to sit and complimentary coffee. Once we got to sit down, the menu left me with TONS of choices. I basically had to close my eyes and pick. My boyfriend had the best shrimp and grits…ever, and I had homemade tomato soup with a brie and havarti grilled cheese sandwich. We also got fresh biscuits and preserves! To die for…anyone that visits Asheville needs to take some time to visit this awesome restaurant!
