Zermatt

I loved this town and the valley and mountians around it. Beautiful. Id love to live there!

It dumped 20 inches of snow (after hardly in Europe at all this season) on my birthday. Made for a wonderful white birthday with some sweet powder riding.

Only regret is I got serious altitude sickness when we took the tram up to Cervina, so I didn’t get to board the Italian side. They say it can hit you once and then never again, or now and then, or sometimes all the time- so hopefully next time I’m up that high I won’t feel like I’m going to hurl and pass out. :>

I can only imagine how amazing this place is when it’s snowing day after day after day. Ah, I hope to go back!

One of the best snowboarding trips that I’ve ever been on!

As tourist you shouldn’t miss Zermatt and the Matterhorn honestly. If you know the chocolate Toblerone so you now the matterhorn and i can tell you in real it is 1000 times nicer!

Ski the entire mountain, from left to right, all in one day. I don’t mean ski every run, just ski all the sections.

They’ll say you can’t do it, but you can if you’re good. Go up the cog-wheel train as early as you can, go up all the gondolas, ski down the left side of the mountain, take the gondolas to the top near the Matterhorn, ski all the way down to Italy, and make it back before the lifts close. You’ll have had one of the longest skis possible in a ski resort without ever retracing your steps.
