Beautiful, if you go, definitely make a stop by Reedy Park. It’s gorgeous, has many different trails and beautiful waterfalls. Downtown is very cute and picturesque.

My best friend’s sister lives here and on Dec 30th 2005 we decided New Year’s would be better spent in the south (I’m from CT). So we grabbed some clothes and another friend and started driving. It took about 20 hours to get there (I drove the whole way because neither of them knew how to drive my standard car) Once we got there she was so surprised and happy to see us, but we were so tired all we did was sleep until the party started. The rest of the night is kind of a blur but I know it was a blast. The next day we grabbed our stuff and headed home. It was one of the best trips of my life and it hardly lasted 3 days (2 driving) I love my spontaneous friends and the memories we make because of our wild ideas!

I played the L Arlessienne suites (Bizet) with the Greenville Symphony. I was put up in the house of a prominent arts backer who was delightfully wacky, my friend Carlton came up from Columbia to see the concert, and the somewhat martinet-like Russian conductor told someone after he heard me play: “best harp sound I ever hear in this hall!” I think that I heard it either via the contractor or my hostess. Lovely town. Really good orchestra, too.
