Salamanca Market

Best time to visit this market is during the winter solstice. Although it may be cold, the market place is filled with friendly people, trinkets and other goods. They had an ice carving station set out where an artist was working on a sculpture which seemed to be depicting Hobart. It was pretty cool. :)

Salamanca is where I ate most of my meals when I was in Hobart. There’s a coffeehouse in the inner courtyard area which had tables with umbrellas, and I spent a few afternoons sitting out there in the sunshine.
