U.S. Virgin Islands

My parents went on their honeymoon here and have always wanted to go back. Twenty years and three kids later, they brought me and my brother and sister here and it was amazing. There is so much local color here, the beaches are amazing and everything is so relaxed. I stayed on St. John’s Island, but I also spent some time on St. Thomas, both were great but I recommend St. John!

My uncle lives in St. Thomas and always wanted me to visit but i never went. Since I’ve been in Florida I’ve met a lot of people from the virgin Islands. Mostly St. Thomas though. One of them very special to me and told me he would take me one day. I’m not sure if thats going to happen due to circumstances beyond my control. I still wanna go and i still want him to take me. We spent a lot of time telling each other about where we were from. I guess he made me fall in love with this place I have never even been to. I don’t know maybe someday I’ll go visit my uncle and get to see the beautiful place I’ve heard so much about.

Aside from that, the waters are beautiful and the snorkling superb. Stay at Maho Bay camps in St. John if you want a more “eco-friendly” vacation (just be sure to bring your bugspray).

My aunt and uncle lived here for ten years. They lived on St. John, but my uncle took the ferry to St. Thomas everyday for work. It is soo beautiful there! My first “real photographs” that inspired me to pursue photography were taken here. Granted, this was about six [or more] years ago, when digital cameras weren’t around, so I don’t have any of the pictures on my computer. It’s truly beautiful though, and I definitely recommend it.

I thought it was horrible, everyone here has such different culture and ideas. They listen to their own music and dress in their own way. But after awhile, I found some people I could relate and have fun with. This November will make it three years since I moved here from Puerto Rico. If you get the chance, you should definately visit, although I would rather have stayed for a few days as a tourst than live here and stuff.
The picture is of a bench next to a bus stop I used to use to catch a bus for my two years in Jr. High. Its a beautiful place, but after awhile it gets to be old news lol.

went through the virgin islands via a cruise ship. every island was different but i really enjoyed st. thomas. amazing beaches!the only portion of the trip that i did not care for was the commonly seen trash and roadside litter.

St. Croix and St. Thomas. It is weird that is is American since you never think of random litte places belonging to the americans…

but it was ok. crappy shopping.

I’ve been to USVI a few times and I always stay on St. John though I’ve been to the others. It’s a beautiful place with friendly people and lots of sun. The best place for a burger is Skinny Legs in Coral Bay. Spend the mornings at the beach and head to Cruz Bay for shopping and drinks in the afternoon.
