Bloomington

the most amazing little town in indiana, or maybe even the central midwest for that matter. go in early to mid fall. energizing hub surrounded by much farmland and plenty of corn fields.

I have lived in Bloomington, Indiana my entire life and it is the best city in the world. Everything is so down to earth, while it’s also a very diverse place. You will feel right at home in Bloomington if you keep an open mind and a positive attitude… and maybe even if you just keep an open mind. : D

I was there when 1999 turned into 2000, in the second story. I got a tattoo the next day.

I went up Sunday afternoon to see my dad’s girlfriend’s daughter, an IU alumni and a current resident there. She moved away but came back because she loves it there—and I can’t blame her. It’s such a cool place. We saw the Subway where Jared lost all that weight, had an incredible vegetarian brunch at Roots, toured the campus, had peanut butter smoothies (!) at Soma, then ate dinner at a Tibetan restaurant owned by the Dalai Lama’s brother! I can’t say I’ve done so many awesome things in one day… and the great thing is… we walked everywhere! I hate cars and I really enjoyed walking around, enjoying the sights….
