I walked around the campus one day. It’s vast and intimidating if you don’t know where you’re going. But it’s definitely a great place.

Apparently some people at Berkeley still think UCLA is the also ran by NedRaggett

Call me dubious. Clearly UCLA came about because people were at Berkeley and going “Now if only we had better weather overall and all that.” But my shameless biases aside, the couple of times I’ve been to UC Berkeley, all for radio station conferences, were good fun — lots of room for wandering and relaxing, definitely a fine sign.
