Wupatki is a fascinating place, with numerous ruins to check out. It is also unbearably hot in the summer. Don’t let the fact it’s considered to be in Flagstaff fool you! Temperatures in the hundreds aren’t unusual.
I swung by on the way home last summer, and it was absolutely miserable. It wasn’t conducive to enjoying the sights — definitely go during the fall or winter when you can take your time and enjoy it.
