A review of this place

Lived in Moscow when I was at UofI in the early 90’s.
Loved living on the Palouse and enjoyed all the great folks.

A review of this place: I got engaged on Moscow Mountain

I moved to Moscow in 2001 to attend the University of Idaho. What a wonderful experience that was for me. I lived in moscow for 4 years and loved every minute of it. They university is great, the people are so nice and kind and it is one of the most beautiful areas I have ever been to. There are many great shops and resteraunts along main street and there is so much to do and see around Moscow. In 2003 my husband took me on a hike up to Moscow mountain and proposed to me on our hike. Moscow will always hold a very special place in my heart.

The last time I went to this place

Was this past weekend. I went to visit old friends from college and my cousin who is a freshman at the University of Idaho. After leaving Moscow last May, we were kind of sad. After visiting earlier this school year, we were even more sad and felt like we were really missing.

After this past weekend, we recalled that Moscow is kind of crappy. It’s as fun as you want to make it. It’s more about the people than the place. We went to the Farmer’s Market, which was good. And we had some good eating while we were down there too: Breakfast Club, Applebee’s, Papa Murphy’s, breakfast at home. It was all good.

Moscow can seem boring, but like I said before, it’s as fun as you want to make it.

Home for 5+ years

I’m about to leave Moscow but it has been a wonderful home for over 5 years. The community is amazing and very progressive (especially for Idaho!). It’s a college town but the best time of year is the summer when all the frat boys & sorority girls leave. :) The fact that there is a co-op is probably one of the best features, but there is also a great arts community, easy access to all things outdoors, and wonderful people. I thought I wanted to live in a big city before I moved here, now I know I’m a small town girl.

Went to the Lionel Hampton Jazz fest every year in high school. Mostly we’d kill time at the surplus store and buy throwing stars and gas masks and drink smuggled 40s back at the motel.
