North Myrtle Beach

My family owns a beach house here.

Was Labor Day weekend 2007. Doug took me. We had a blast. Labor Day weekend is the best time to go because the tourists have all gone home. We stayed at the Avista Resort. We had an ocean front room on the 5th floor. We slept with our door open all night every night.

We went shopping and ate at the BEST places.
I am trying to remember the name of this one restaurant we ate at. It was so nice. I guess I have to ask Doug. He is not available at this moment, but I left him a message asking the name.

Ok, the name of the restaurant is Cagney’s. I loved that place. We both did. We said we would definately revisit Cagney’s. I highley recommend it too. The atmosphere was very jazzy and old school. The food was awesomely delicious. The service was great. It was also very romantic. Yes, I would go back and go back with him.

I wish I saw more of this place, it had beautiful sunsets. All I could see was a Wal-Mart off in the distance, through a fence of barbed wire. I wasn’t in prison, I was at Basic (boot camp).

Avoid the big summer tourist season if you want to have some laid back beach fun. Come in late September; the beaches will be almost deserted, rentals will be cheaper, and the water temp will still be perfect.

Not quite as touristy as the main Myrtle Beach, not as crowded, more family oriented.
