Johnson City

I stayed with my cousin here much of the Summer of 1995. It has a decent mall, good restaurants and movie theater. Mountain Home USDVA/V.A. campus is like a city within a city.

I don’t know anything about Johnson City but every time I have ever driven through NC on I-26 or I-40, I have seen a sign for this town and it sort of tugs me towards it, almost to the point where I want to keep driving there.

Maybe one day I will find my fate there.

but visit friends. I lived here for 3 years and still go back to visit with friends.

Grew up here. I love going back now but don’t recommend for tourists. Nice town and living in Atlanta makes you miss the lack of traffic and quality of life.

Junior high sucked. High school was ok. (Loved Mrs. Transou) But most of the neighbors were great. The seasons were perfect. The people are friendly. The Smokeys are something special. Maybe I wouldn’t visit there, but I’d recommend it as a great place to live.
