A cute little town with friendly people and an awesome downtown area. Not far out from Denver if you feel like big city life.

The Fine Arts Festival is coming up next weekend (19th and 20th). Volunteers are needed (like a lot) but also, it’ll be a great time for anyone who wants to see great art without having to go very far.

I have been living here for 3 years going to college at the Colorado School of Mines, and I think Golden is wonderful. It’s a small town atmosphere where they hold events for the entire town to attend, but it’s still right next to Denver, so you also get the advantages of the big city! The best part of it is you don’t actually see Denver, it’s blocked off by two mountains (Golden is surrounded by small mountains), so it doesn’t feel like you’re part of the big city, you’re just in a small town. And fall is beautiful when all of the leaves start changing colors!!
