We go there once or twice a year to see family. Nice town but very busy during the summer due to tourists. Cool movie theater. How can anything suck in the Adirondacks?

Go to the pancake house, get the chocolate chip pancakes. The best!

Also, the chair lift ride up Mt McKinley (sp?) is pretty great!

Had a summer cabin by papoie

My family built a cabin in Old Forge to escape the dry Texas heat and to actually see and feel snow again. A gorgeous little spot to visit, made for tourists. The scenery is beautiful and kayaking on the river is a must. The deer are as tame as neighborhood dogs. Almost too tame.
