One of the reasons that I love Seattle. This bar has attached beer botle holders to vintage video games. It’s the best.

A tip I have about this place  — 1 year ago

Kind of a clown theme. The velvet picture behind the bar is a little freaky though.

That big bald dude, don’t be an ass to him, he will punch a hole in your neck.

Looking forward to pinball  — 2 years ago

Shorty’s was always tasty and fun, but there were few places in Seattle that had a more toxic environment than Shorty’s.

But now that I’ve banned smoking in Washington I’m definitely looking forward to going and getting a beer, a Shorty Dog and some pinball.

A lot of the Speakeasy kids hang out there, and it’s always a good place to get into some trouble before a night of debauchery.

I love this place. What do you need more than a hot dog when you’re flaming drunk, I ask you???

Carny brews & tatoos  — 2 years ago

Think 50s amusement park rides mixed with Pabst and West Coast tatoos. Throw in hot dogs, stubbies and a pinball machine and you’ll get the general drift of this wonderful Seattle joint. Last time I was there I had beers with my brother, Greg, and his old college roomate Craig Finn who now fronts a band called The Hold Steady. Somehow appropriate.

Something weird always happens at Shorty's.  — 3 years ago

I’ve been kicked out of this place (not my fault), I’ve met crazy Austrailians who I ended up wandering around with until daybreak (we bought a 40 off a bum because we missed closing time), and I learned about the best way to shoot a bullet through my skull when committing suicide from some brain scientists from Chicago. If I’m ever bored, I know I can go to Shorty’s.
