chapel hill and carborro are great places! super-cool, loads of good food, drink and book stores. i love the place!

I have always wanted to go to Chapel Hill, NC. For reals. If I go hopefully I can stay with Scot’s mom! LOL!!!

Think of everything awesome in the world…and you wouldn’t even be close.

I went to a pizza joint called “The Loop.” Good food, cheep prices, and you can even get a beer! I’m a vegetarian..but they also have tons of carnivore cuisine for all you ravenous meat eaters :)

There’s speciality pizza’s, cous-cous salads, BEER, sandwhiches, BEER and umm lots of other things!

The only down side is that you pick up your own food at the counter.—and its a little loud in there..because there are tons of people always eating there. But the people who work there do bus your dishes at the end.

It’s not a place for a quiet romantic date…but it IS a place for kickass food of all kinds, quick service, good prices, low lights and comfortable soft wood tables & chairs…and umm BEER!

This is a wonderful college town, and a wonderful town. A warning though: don’t come here and think this town is North Carolina. Orange County is very much doing it’s own thing.

Tip: Get the ravioli at the Rathskeller, order a martini at the East End Wine bar, spin in a circle a couple times for good measure. That should get you ready for a long, fun night.

I love Chapel Hill. It’s such a charming little town.

I’m looking forward to getting on a plane tomorrow and heading for Chapel Hill! It’s in large part a conference for my job, but I want to eat Southern food, walk in the woods, enjoy its downtown bookshops and stores. Coming from New Mexico, I’ll enjoy all the greenness and moistnesss.

20+ years ago, it had the Austin drag vibe down just fine: saw the sublime movie Local Hero, so there will always be a soft spot for CH…

I had the pleasure of living in this little college town for nearly 10 years before moving to Portland. Definitely one of the highlights of NC.

I lived in Chapel Hill for 5 years, and I do think I’d like to go back for a visit some day. Maybe squeeze in a Tar Heel basketball game, see some friends and hang out on Franklin Street.
