Worth visiting!
Fantastic place
I went kyaking here and a bit of hiking. I would recommend going mainly for hiking as I wish I would of had more time to explore the island rahter than the water around it. But the kyaking around the mini caves around the island wasnice as well. I went in august on a foggy Calif day and when we got 1 mile from the island the fog liftedand it was like finding a desert island. Nothing exists on the island as far as stores or shops is a nice non tourists area.

It's miraculous what 25 miles of ocean can do, for compared to the mainland, this is wild and empty land, and only 55,000 visitors a year come to the islands. Whether you approach them by sea or air, you'll be bowled over by how untrammeled they remain despite neighboring Southern California's teeming masses. Channel Islands National Park encompasses the five northernmost islands of the eight-island chain: Santa Barbara, Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, and San Miguel. The park also protects the ocean 1 nautical mile offshore from each island, thereby prohibiting oil drilling, shipping, and other industrial uses.
