Why I want to go to this place — 2 years ago
It just has this strong sense of being at home, and everything being alright with the world, which is important to me. I haven’t read LOTR, but liked the movies enough, it just seems like the place for me.

I’d love to have party with hobbits and Gandalf the White. Lots food, cheese cake, bread, hmmm and fireworks !!

Either before the events in LOTR —before Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin leave on their quest—or after they come back and restore the Shire. I don’t think I would enjoy being there while Saruman’s goons were in control.

The way they represented the Shire in the LOTR movie (like the picture above – http://www.43places.com/entries/image/110315?t=p), really reminds me more of TELETUBBYLAND than actually an hobbit place….
