Guernsey

Beautiful place! I was here for only a day, but could definitely spend a week or two. The weather was glorious. The wonderful fellows at Castle Cornet kept it open late for visitors and we were the last two there, after learning about it we spend time running all around, so much fun! Then off for a pint at one of the pubs. What a great day!

I spent 10 years growing up in Guernsey, and I loved it! It’s a great place for a holiday, also, but try to go in the summer months because it’s a touch depressing in the rain. There are some lovely shops by the harbour and great biking tours along the beaches (like Le Ray) that you should take advantage of. Also, watch out for the driving – the lanes are very narrow, and it can be interesting when there are more than 2 cars on the road!
