Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

I feel like I grew up there!!! We went every year from the year i was born up until a few years ago on summer holiday, and it was just so nice it’s my second home I think! It’s like being in a beachier, warmer and more countrified England…...and better

The first time I went to this place  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

My first visit to Europe. Went to check out a friend in Jersey. Met some awsome people and went to a lot of pubs. I found the locals to be very trustworthy and honest. Beautiful in the summer.Great beaches.

How this place changed my life  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

Well I lived there until I went to uni (where I still am)...
    I will return next year…
    How’s it changed my life?
I dunno but I think I appreciate nature more because of it. Its such a beautiful place, with beautiful beaches and its even pretty in the winter.
The Zoo (actually, the Gerald Durrel Wildlife Preservation Trust) is an inspiration to everyone.
Go there, restore your faith in Britain, and then go back to the UK and make it better. I’m sorry guys but even Wales has nothing on my little Island, so England has no chance. Havent been to scotland yet… perhaps i will add that to my 43places.

    A relaxing holiday  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

This is a small island with a limited amount to do – it isn’t a jam packed tourist activity centre. I’ve met a disappointed tourist who hadn’t done their research.

Going out and visiting other islands is a good day out, as is a boat ride along the bottom of the island seeing the defences. The underground German WW2 hospital is a total eye opener and serves as a memorial to islanders that objected to being occupied and did something about it.

I’ve been twice and may go back again.

This is the most southern part of united kingdom, blessed by gorgeous weather and lovely people! You can either take a ferry from Southampton or take an hour’s plane journey from London, i assure you, you’ll fall in love with this place…
