...from Calais to Dover and back.
The white cliffs are indeed a nice sight.

Worth visiting!

I’ve been across the English Channel by ferry many times, flown over it a few times, crossed below it a few times (both by Eurostar and in the car-carrying shuttle trains), paddled in it, skinny dipped by moonlight in it, tried to swim in it (not good at swimming in waves). I see it regularly, as its only 5 mins walk away.

Worth visiting!

Not only have I been to the English Channel, I’ve seen both sides of it.

...while swimming.

Wouldn’t recommend the water for the average joe looking for a nice swim, and the beaches in Dover’s Harbor are little more than rocks. The white cliffs are beautiful, and always a welcome sight for any swimmer.

Worth visiting!

Taking the Chunnel is a great way to get between Paris and London. (I realize the English Channel is not in France, but I couldn’t figure out how to add a new place in Europe.)
