This is my favorite place on the planet. I visited here several times over the years that I lived in Seattle, as it was a quick road trip to get to it. Even in the height of the summer tourist season the place maintains its shrouded, mystical feeling. The hanging mosses and abundance of ferns makes you feel like you’re walking in a green cathedral. If I moved back to Seattle, it’d be the first place I would go for a long weekend trip!

We hiked to the coast, then through the rain forest, then up part of Mt Olympus. 3 completely different climates and environments in one place. Seems almost impossible. Everything about this place is gorgeous and one of the most memorable parts of my time in the Pacific Northwest. Reminds me of how small I am compared to this amazing earth.
