Arles

I’d like to visit the Roman amphitheatre (though probably not to watch any bullfighting) and stand at the same viewpoint that Van Gogh painted in Starry Night over the Rhone.

Saw the course carmaguaise, flamingos, got a sunburn that has left a 6 month old tan line as a reminder

i’m fancy about the sunlight in Arles, which made Von Gough dizzy. and… are there sunflower fields? I’d love to see that. haven’t seen a sunflower field in my life yet.

I lived in Europe as a teenager back in the 70s and somehow, we never made it to the South of France. I then took a degree in art history and read all of Vincent’s letters to Theo. I’ve also read Peter Mayles’ books on living in Provence. So now it is time to go there.

van gogh, their colosseum, the markets, the architecture…
I recommend visiting this lovely little city.

But it was beautiful, nonetheless.
