I have spent a deal of time learning html and java to get it to work right, but it has been a real learning experience. Well, my first website launched in 1996 with a beige background, 1 image (a painting) and an animated cat running across the bottom of the screen… The page was all handed coded (html) and I will never forget the ‘magic’ of seeing it live with all of the images on the web. Since then, I’ve dabbled in html,javascript, enough perl & php to use perl or php scripts, flash, and css. I journal online (ok, some of you may call it a blog!) about art, various life experiences, travel, and IT/web issues. I can guarantee you that my website will not look like the screenshot by next week. I update the site design by season (thank you CSS!), so it’s kind of bland mode at the moment. I truly can not imagine my life without the web. It’s very isulated from the rest of the world, and the locals are creepy.
