Tuscaloosa

Has anyone noticed how this town just exploded in the last 18 months?

Everywhere you drive, you’ll see new homes being built, new roads opening up, new banks, and new stores…

There might me some hope for this place yet…!?

If we could get some “fun” places for all ages, like a Dave & Busters, a roller rink, a trading card /gaming center, etc., and not just the bowling alley which is super expensive for kids, that would be great!

Also, they need more recycling bins; there aren’t that many around and when you finally get to one, it’s constantly full!

Any other suggestions about what this town needs to make it a little more bearable or resident-friendly?

I live here too.
But the moist sub-tropic atmosphere is not for me.

I lived in Tuscaloosa for 4 years (went to grad school and worked at UA after graduating) and loved it. It’s a fun town with friendly people. Gameday on the Quad – best days of the year. Roll Tide!

great college town!

I live here! I’m the happiest I have ever been!

I, myself rather enjoyed visiting here. I was with a boyfriend at the time and he was showing me around his home town which made it a special visit.

This is also my home, due to the fact that I am a college student at The University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. (Roll Tide!)

the people are incredibly friendly…almost freakishly so. There are still southern gentlemen here!!! Wow!!! This town really loves its football team…enough to rival Oklahoma’s love of theirs.

this is actually my hometown…and as much as i fought to get away from this place, it really is a little treasure. sure there’s the university, but there’s so much more..from moundville – the indian burial mounds to the old state capitol in downtown tuscaloosa…from the jack warner home to the alabama campus…it’s a great roadtrip destination.
