so, I went here when I was about six. they have a HUGE replica of what the Lock ness would look like, and my parents just had to get a picture of me in front of it. I remember being soo scared that the thing was going to come to life, that my parents had to push me in front of the thing so I could take the pic. The expression on my face was priceless! I looked like I was constipated cuz apparently thats how I look when I’m scarred? I don’t know. thats how it is tho. lol its a great place to go to tho :D

That water looks cold, even in mid-summer, ah now you’ll not see wee nessie in the day as she’s shy. Best to try at night and mind those annoying midges. Better still go up to sky and get away from the tourists and then over to Iona, there’s beauty there.

It was for our honeymoon….I wanted to throw new hubby in as bait to get Nessie to come up for a pic. But my brother in law said that Nessie was a bottom feeder and fat floats, so it wouldn’t work….darn. I wanted a pic of Nessie and to end up on “To Death Til Us Part”.

Crusing on the Loch is great and go to Urquhart Castle if you have a chance!

You get a nice view of the lake from Castle Urquhart, which straddles it at one end. Just bring an umbrella; the castle has long since deteriorated, and you won’t get much shelter from the rain.

Was with my grandmother, she is no longer with us. This place has burnt cherished memories into my heart. If I go back, I don’t know if I would want to make new ones at Loch Ness or not.
