The Puritan Backroom

Since I can’t Check In and all my previous records of Checking In have been eradicated (OK – I am still pouting) Guess I have to write entries when I re-visit places?

Birthday lunch at the Backroom today. My friend D and I usually share some boneless tenders Buffalo style and each get a Greek salad PLUS the amazing Mudd pie to celebrate each other’s b-days.

Even though technically my birthday was almost 8 weeks ago I am always willing to celebrate AND strangely enough a belated gift arrived in the mail yesterday from England so I guess my birthday rocks on.

Plus – I can walk here from my house.

My dad always said that his car would not drive past without turning in. We all know he loved it because he couldn’t go there without seeing someone he knew. This place has the best, hands down, chicken tenders – broiled or fried – that you will ever have. Also check out the chicken with special sauce, the chicken parm, the syrian garlic bread with cheese and the $7 mudslides (limit 2). OK – I am annoyed that they built a parking lot in my back yard, but the food is still excellent.
