Write an entry Entries about this placeTo be honest by daydreamerlike other peeps below, I actually came over purely for the ferry ride so that I could admire the waterfront from afar. Stunning! But we did while away a couple of hours in Winslow, sitting outside and enjoying a leisurely coffee and cake. The ferry ride from Seattle is always fun and the views from anywhere along the shoreline of Bainbridge are gorgeous. This place has tremendous beauty. But good luck trying to afford living in any of these $1 million plus homes near the water! over 3 years agoUntitled by COSBOSMy eldest brother lives on the Island and I just love visiting. It’s so beautiful and I adore the little bookshops and coffee klatches and such. Real small town charm, but the people are cosmopolitan. There are great places to hike and the air seems really clean. my friend and i have taken the ferry over there and gone to poulsboro a few times over the past couple of years and it’s nice…there is a park and beach that are really nice (a little complicated to get to cuz the signs are hard to see and find) but totally worth it to go spent a day there and drive or walk around….go do it during the summer on a nice day and take the ferry from seattle to there…quite a nice ride if i do say so.. over 5 years agoSee all 10 entries |
