It’s a lovely town, wonderful buildings, good hotels and B&B and excellent food. Beware the well off locals who can remember the civil war like it was yesterday. over 4 years agoUntitled by ExcitedatlastI lived there for a few years. It’s beautiful to visit, but in one of the antebellum homes they insisted on referring to the enslaved people as “workers” … wtf? And let’s not even begin to talk about the Natchez Democrat. Ok to pass through, not to live there. over 5 years agoSpring Tour of Homes by funkytrollI haven’t been to the Fall – I am sure it is just as cool. The Spring tour was great. I went last Spring. Longwood was my favorite. Highly recommended if you like architecture and/or history over 7 years agoDrove through and stopped by yakuzaI had to drive from Monroe to Baton Rouge, and we passed through Natchez.
