Worth visiting!
The Sears Tower is about a block away from Union Station and near the Chicago River. It’s easy to get to and is a nice walking distance from Grant Park.

The view from the Sears Tower is great – if it’s a clear day.

I was there is June of this year. I went to Chicago for a weekend it was awesome. The Sears Tower and Skydeckis 110 floors high! There is a lot to do in the summer timein Chicago. The Architecture is amazing and the city is very clean.
I can’t wait to go back! It is only 2 hours plane travel which is fine with me. Just don’t want to be there in the winter!

My best friend and I met up in Chicago (He lives in Channahon, IL and I live in Minneapolis, MN). We ran around all day down to the pier, to the museums, and just went everywhere we always talked about going. We stopped off at our hotel and then decided to run to the Sears Tower right at dusk. It was downpouring by the time we got into the taxi to head over there.
We got up to the top of Sears Tower, it was pretty much empty except for a few families and a few couples.
We stood at the windows and could see the lightning in the clouds RIGHT in front of us. We didn’t have the best of views of the city at that point but we could see a fair bit. It was just amazing to see the storm.
A strike of lightning came really close to the building and it made me jump because it was so close. Rich grabbed me and gave me a hug and he snuck in and kissed me. Our very first kiss. =D
Best moment ever.

Chicago is the New York of Mid West … essentially, what that means is:
a. Friendlier people
b. A more relaxed & laidback downtown atmosphere
c. You still get the BIG CITY feel…
& finally … Great Food & Great Bars …

Save your money. I love Chicago, but the Sears Tower is nowhere near the most interesting thing to see. Get outside the downtown area and see all the unique neighborhoods in this town instead.
