This is around the epi-center of the famous 1906 SF earthquake. I found that data most interesting of all.

Haven't been back to Point Reyes in 25 years...  — 2 years ago

...but my dad and I and some friends of his hiked here a couple of times when I lived in the Bay Area. Really loved the experience, though the impressions are a bit more on the vague side now, regrettably, though I’m sure I have a couple of very old photographs around. Would love to return and see it through newer eyes.

Unbelievable Stairs  — 2 years ago

Awesome place to go visit. I remember lots of deer, and taking the trip to the Lighthouse, one of the oldest on the coast, but the stairs to get out were horrifying.

Point Reyes is a great trip for visitors and residents alike. The drive there is long, but worth it. You can whale watch with all of the benefits and none of the motion sickness from the light-house. It smells wild and fresh, and it is beautiful and open. A nice version of the Northern California coastline to take home in pictures and in memories. La.

So much to explore, and such a varied terrain. Be sure to hike to the ocean.

I tried to go here on New Year’s Day, but HWY 1 was flooded! Will try again in drier weather.

There was a restaurant there. I forget the name, but I had enchiladas with mole and it was fabulous.
