Portland Head Light

It’s gorgeous. You can see Portland in the distance and admire the beautiful water, smell the breeze and hold someone close to you as you whisper sweet nothings, only the sea gulls can hear you.

You can take a hundred photos of Portland Head and the all come out diferently and beautifly.

When my pal and I drove from Bremerton, WA to the Atlantic Ocean and back, this was the furthest point from home. We had a picnic here, then got in the car to leave and realized we’d just taken the photo that graced the front of our road atlas!

Any decent day is made that much better by hanging at Fort Williams Park and Portland Headlight….

I go to Maine just about every summer and I never get tired of visiting the Portland Headlight. There are 2 other lighthouses just down the road too called Twin Lights. Another great place to visit.
