I’m sorry to say that unless you live there, 100 Mile House is the type of highway-straddling small town that you usually through on the way to somewhere else. The kind of place you stop to gas up, eat, maybe get a room for the night.

Unless you have a girlfriend there, in which case it becomes a destination, indeed! ;c)

On the other hand, 100 Mile is a little bigger and has a lot more amenities than it did in the past. The Cariboo is ranching country, and if you live there, it’s quite appealing in that there are many more facilities than other small towns, a bright and pleasant shopping district, and a generally homey feeling. 100 Mile is the type of place where you thoroughly enjoy spending a nice, quiet Christmas with family and friends.

…And it’s just big enough that you can get car parts without having to order overnight! LOL

The Imperial Motel, while not depressing, is still pretty expensive for a motel. I wonder if a better deal could be had elsewhere.
