Why I recommend this place to visitors
It’s a lovely drive around seeing all of the free-roaming ponies and cows. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Disaster weekend... but ok in the end!
Had a long-weekend away with my family, godparents’ family and a friend which was a bit of a disaster when my brother broke his arm on the evening we arrived!
The place we camped in made up for it though – we were literally in the middle of the forest, surrounded by beautiful trees, dappled sunlight, and New Forest Ponies! We found a river where lots of people were picnicing and sunbathing, and swimming with the cows!!
(Great for taking the dog too, she just loved it!)

beautiful
i have been camping here with my ex, we had our handfasting here alone.
the horses here are amazing, a couple of them let us touch them after a few mins of us standing there so they could get familiar with us. they were filthy though so we had to wash our hands after!
its nice having so much nature (and thyme) around you. i have never seen sunsets like that before and the sky has less pollution so you can see more stars.
there are lots of places to stay for a variety of budgets here so if you want to get in touch with nature or you need some time away from the concrete jungle then do visit.

just go and camp
The New Forest is very close to where I grew up and is such a great place. I love camping there and waking up to find a cow or donkey outside of your tent.
There are stunning cycle tracks and walks through woods, along streams and across meadows. The animals here wander free and you’ll often come across traffic jams where there are 3 horses in the road and refuse to move.
There is also the sea … this place really does have everything. Hampshire at it’s best.

The ponies and donkeys are the cutest
There are ponies roaming all over, and Beaulieu has donkeys!
