Bellagio

There’s a reason why Las Vegas decided to use Bellagio as inspiration for a casino, because it’s drop-dead, over-the-top, pinch me I must be dreamin’ gorgeous (just check out the picture)! It’s not large and it’s not cheap, but if you’re into beautiful alpine lake-side vistas (and who’s not really?) then this is your place. You may want to stay in the more affordable Menaggio located just a short ferry ride across the lake and day-trip to Bellagio. Regardless of how you do it, just get there!

I thought Bellagio was beautiful, but it didnt seem authentic Italy to me, as much as Chianti did. It was a world different. Bellagio, is quite shi shi, and caters mostly to the tourists, so if you are looking to discover the real Italy, this wouldnt be the place to come. (unless you get out of town and into the village a little bit more)If you are looking for a beautiful place to visit, and dont need to see the Italian Culture uncovered and raw, this is your place…

This is undoubtedly the place one should go to provided one wants to feel what earthly paradise means . . . Serene, compact and luxury, a spot one never feels like leaving…If I ever run away and leave no note, search for me in Bellagio

Plenty of good food and shopping and pleasant walks around the town. Boat rides to nearby towns across the lake lead to more adventures. Go visit movie stars in their villas. See where scenes for Star Wars were shot. Or, just relax and have some wine.
