Bangor

My family and friends are in this area. I miss them all so very much.

Growing Up In a Smaller Town Near Bangor, It Being One Of The Only Citys, I Go There Often. It’s Pretty Big, Dang Fun To Trick-Or-Treat In. But As All Citys, They Have Rumors.

Dad Told Me This One: In Bangor At K-Part, Or One Of The Trailor Parks, Lived A Woman And Her Child. One Day “The Lord” Told The Woman Her Child Was Possessed By Satin. So She Locked Her Young Child In Her Room For Five Days, Practicly Starving Her, Starved The Oven, Collected The Near Death Child, And Stored Her In The Oven Until She Died, Cooking Her From The Inside.

I was born and raised here…I love my hometown! I will hopefully go back to live there someday.

I enjoyed seeing all the returning military troops in the airport! Thousands of our countries finest young men and women were on their way to their hometowns, and it was a sight to see.

A very good friend lives here, and she will be leaving sometime in the next several months. I must see this place before she goes.

The only times I have been to Bangor, they have been holding either the National Folk Festival or the American Folk Festival. It is a terrific time of year to go (toward the end of the summer) if you like folk music. The people are super friendly (or maybe I just thought so at the time since I was living in New York). My favorite activity was dancing in the dance tent.

Not exactly a booming metropolis, but there are a number of good cheap places to eat, a couple of bars, and a couple art galleries in the downtown. Definitely the highlight is the American Folk Festival that they put on each summer.

Oh, and sometimes, they have huge fires in the middle of the winter, and ice freezes on buildings.

I lived here for about 2 years and loved it.

Not worth “VISITING” but if you’re in the area, or find yourself there on business it’s a very pleasant place.

ya i have been to bangor. it is nothing special. but i have been there many times so maybe that is why i don’t enjoy it so much. i go to bangor when i a going to Boston.
